Solo or small team, the art is usually what stalls the build. Describe a character, keep coding, come back to it moving.
Prompt, image, 3D model, skeleton, animation. About 15 minutes for one character on an M-series MacBook, while you work on something else.
One GLB file with textures, skeleton and animation baked in. Open it in Godot, Unity, Unreal or three.js. No export dance.
Ask for a 3×3 sheet of props. AssetFurnace cuts it apart and builds all nine in 3D, sized for a game with lighter versions for distance. A tavern or scrapyard in one run.
Every file carries a record of each model that touched it, and its licence. You know before you ship, not after a takedown.
Connect Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client and it makes assets, checks them and tries another setting while you both build the game.
A first draft in minutes, not a replacement for you. Use it for blockouts, previz, background pieces, or a base to sculpt over.
Drag the line. Left is the picture, right is the 3D model built from it, same angle. Bring your own concept art, or describe one.
Image3D model
Drag to see the real mesh. This one is at our 40k game-ready setting, and it is triangles, not clean quads. Fine for games and previz; for hero work, plan to retopologise (rebuild a clean mesh over it).
TexturedWireframe
Turn a rough idea into something you can spin around in minutes. Kill the weak ones early, spend your hours on the one that works.
Start at any step with a file you already have. Rig and animate your own sculpt, or stop at the textured mesh and take it into Blender.
Standard GLB: mesh, UV-mapped textures (the image wrapped onto the model) and, if you want it, a skeleton. No plugin needed.
Each step uses an open model with its own licence. The viewer shows it before you run anything, and the record travels with the file.
* Includes Meta's DINOv3 image encoder, which has its own licence. This table is a summary, not legal advice; each file links to the full licence text.
Run the whole chain, or start at any step with a file you already have. The viewer remembers your runs, so the next step is a dropdown, not an upload.
Describe it. For characters, a T-pose with empty hands rigs best.
A local image model draws it, or bring your own art.
Pixal3D, TRELLIS.2 or Hunyuan3D.
Clean mesh, fixed materials, game-friendly size.
Skeleton and skin weights in one click.
Walk, run, punch, kick, dance and more.
Connect your agent over MCP with one line. Ask for "a Pixar-style gator warrior" and it runs every step, shows you the result and opens it in the studio. Every knob the studio has, your agent has too.
Or let it install everything: ask it to "install AssetFurnace from assetfurnace.com and connect its MCP". Agents: start at assetfurnace.com/llms.txt.
# connect your agent (Claude Code shown) $ claude mcp add assetfurnace -- ~/image-to-3dlab/lab mcp # or start the studio yourself $ ./lab # or run a saved recipe, so every run is repeatable $ python pipeline.py --run-manifest manifests/example-trellis2.json # every output carries its paper trail $ cat rune_knight_40k_dance.provenance.json { "input": { "name": "rune_knight_40k.glb", "source": "generated" }, "rig": { "license": { "name": "MIT" } }, "motion": { "preset": "dance", "speed": 1.0, "license": { "name": "NVIDIA Open Model License" } } }
Free to run on your own machine: no account, no credits, no API keys.
An Apple Silicon Mac (32 GB memory recommended) or a Linux PC with an NVIDIA card (24 GB tested). Each 3D engine downloads 8–20 GB of model files once, and only after you say yes.
It rigs humanoids only; four-legged creatures are on the roadmap. Fast kicks look soft, extreme poses can bend like rubber, and meshes are triangles, not clean quads.
GLB files with textures, a skeleton and animation. They open in Blender, Godot, Unity and three.js.
Yes. AssetFurnace has an MCP server, so Claude Code, Codex, Kimi and other MCP clients can make, check and tweak assets on your machine. One line connects it: claude mcp add assetfurnace -- ~/image-to-3dlab/lab mcp. Every agent's setup.
